Radiation Effects Test Engineer

The Contested Environment Test Solutions group is seeking an experienced engineer ready to support complex electrical parts radiation testing efforts. He or she will need to work across locations to support the need for an experience radiation testing engineer on multiple testing campaigns. Candidates should have significant hands-on experience with testing piece parts and subassemblies in a variety of radiation environments including dose rate, total integrated dose, and single event effects environments. The candidate will be expected to work effectively in a team environment, mentor junior engineers, and communicate progress and results through published reports and presentations.
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a BS and 10+ years of experience or M.S. And 7+ years of experience with a degree in electrical engineering, nuclear engineering, physics, or a related field. Required skills include:
* Familiar with commercial test instrumentation such as data acquisition modules, PCI/PXI instrumentation, real-time embedded controllers and communication devices, LabVIEW, diagnostics and troubleshooting
* Experience working with laboratory data acquisition systems such as digital multimeters, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes
* Familiarity with MIL-STD-883, ASTM F1192, IEC TS 62396, JESD89-3, or similar standards for electronics piece part testing in various radiation environments
* Ability to mentor junior engineers in conducting tests in accordance with applicable standards, and produce quality test data reports
